Since BRF's creation in 2009, we began to delimit the area of operation for each of our brands, offering specific products for each sector and a unique variety for those who appreciate quality in food. Furthermore in accordance with the laws governing healthy foods, we seek continuous improvement in our products to please our customers, meet their needs and surprise them.


We are among the biggest food companies in the world and we are among the top 100 in sustainability on the planet, according to The Global 100 ranking of the Corporate Knights publication. Our products reach more than 150 countries, spread over five continents. Expansion of our international operations stands on four pillars that we adopted: investment in brands; expansion of the portfolio; advances in distribution and betting on local production. With that, we are one of the biggest exporters of chicken to Europe and Asia.

Moreover, we increased our range of exports and we purchased several companies and consolidated food brands around the world, such as Paty, Dánica, Avex and Levino Zaccardi of Argentina; Federal Foods and Hilal of the Middle East, and Chixxs of Europe.


Our newest plant outside Brazil is located in Kizad, the industrial area of Abu Dhabi. Occupying an area of about 160,000 square meters, it will begin operations with about 350 employees, a number that could reach 1400 in 2017, when it reaches its maximum production capacity of 70,000 tons of food per year. 

The arrival of the new plant will benefit farmers and local ranchers, and represents a strengthening of the quality of BRF's commitment to the Middle East region where Sadia and Perdix are leading brands. With this new plant, our ability to adapt the company's products to the demand and the local culture will be even more evident. Its location in the industrial region of Kizad, endowed with extensive infrastructure of logistics and export, also allows easy access to global markets.
